Lighthouse Bistro has been serving the North Shore of Kauai great food and live entertainment in an open air Hawaiian plantation garden setting since 1999. We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce and ingredients to create a unique European, pacific rim, fusion menu.
Owner Matt Ernsdorf, started Lighthouse Bistro in 1999. He started his restaurant career as a bus person 20 years ago in the same building, (formally Casa di Amici Restaurant) and has worked his way through all the positions in the restaurant.
Chef Joseph Caulfield, graduate of the Culinary Institute of America has been the chef at Lighthouse Bistro since 2002. Chef Joe was honored with the Best Seafood Dish at this year's Taste of Hawaii 2011 for his Ginger Crusted Ono with soy wasabi butter sauce and ginger foam. And now The Lighthouse Bistro and private chef John-Paul Gordon are offering on site and off site catering for groups ranging in size from two to 2,000. John-Paul's speciality is romantic beach dinners for couples. With experience, passion, hard work and a love for food, we are confidant you will enjoy your visit to the Lighthouse Bistro.

DIRECTIONS THE LIGHTHOUSE BISTRO
The Lighthouse Bistro is on the road to the famous Kilauea Lighthouse and Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge on the North Shore of Kauai. The restaurant is in the Historic Kong Lung Market Center. The building we are in was the original Kilauea gas station.
Plenty of parking in the Historic Kong Lung Market Center and across the Kilauea Road.
FROM THE SOUTH Kapaa, Lihue, Poipu, West Side
Turn right at the Menehune Mart/Shell Gas Station on Kolo Road. Take a left on Kilauea Road. Look for the Historic Kong Lung Market Center less than a half of a mile up on the right.
FROM THE NORTH Princeville, Hanalei, Haena
Turn left at the Menehune Mart/Shell Gas Station on Kolo Road. Take a left on Kilauea Road. Look for the Historic Kong Lung Market Center less than a half of a mile up on the right.
